Ring Game

These rules apply to all PokerKing ring games and are complementary to PokerKing’s Terms and Conditions. In the event of any discrepancy between these rules and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions will take precedence.

Buying In

  1. All games are played using table stakes. Only funds that were brought to the table before a hand begins can be wagered in that hand.
  2. For Fixed Limit games, the minimum buy-in is ten times the small blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the minimum buy-in is 10. There is no maximum buy-in at Fixed Limit tables.
  3. For No Limit and Pot Limit games, PokerKing uses 3 different buy-in options, Short, Regular and Deep Stack.
  4. For Short Stack tables (S), the minimum buy-in is ten times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the minimum buy-in is 20. And the maximum buy-in is forty times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the maximum buy-in is 80.
  5. For Regular Stack tables, the minimum buy-in is twenty-five times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the minimum buy-in is 50. And the maximum buy-in is seventy-five times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the maximum buy-in is 150.
  6. For Deep Stack tables (D), the minimum buy-in is fifty times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the minimum buy-in is 100. And the maximum buy-in is one hundred and fifty times the big blind. For example, in a 1/2 game, the maximum buy-in is 300.
  7. Minimum and maximum buy-ins vary dependent on the table. Any such variations will be declared before you join a table.

  3. At tables with more than two seats:
    • It is acceptable to be seated but occasionally deny action in certain circumstances, such as being seated to help start a new ring game but not wanting to play heads-up.
    • It is not acceptable to remain sitting out at a table (especially an active one) waiting for one of only a few preferred opponents to arrive or sit in.
    • In general, seated players are expected to take part more often than they remain inactive.

In the event of a dispute, any decision made by PokerKing’s management will be final.

Heads up tables

Players may only sit at one empty heads-up table, per stake level, and/ Table Type (Short, Cap, regular) while waiting for a game to begin.

For example, a player can sit one $2/$4 heads-up Regular table, one $2/$4 heads-up Cap table, and one $2/$4 heads-up Short table, simultaneously. For each stake any player found in violation to this rule will be subject to a 24-hour account ban. Repeat offenders will receive more severe punishments.

Tournaments

The below tournament rules will apply to all tournaments unless otherwise stated.

Registration

One table Sit & Go's:
Each tournament starts as soon as the required number of players has registered (Players will be randomly seated)

Multi-table tournaments:

Each tournament starts at predetermined times (Players will be randomly seated)

Late registration:

In selected tournaments, the late registration option is available.

Tournaments can have different late registration criteria’s such as time, number of players or stage of elimination – please refer to the tournament description box for the full information.

Un-Registration

Most Multi Table tournaments allow un-registration until a few minutes before the tournament begins. The full information is available in the Tournament description box for each tournament.

Players will be allowed to unregister from a Sit & Go tournament as long as not all the seats have been filled.

Players will be allowed to unregister from a multi-table tournament up to 5 minutes before the tournament start time. Players who register less than 5 minutes before the tournament start time will not have the option to unregister.

If a player cannot unregister from a tournament himself he should contact the support team and demand to be be unregistered. This is possible in case the tournament has not started yet, so players must contact the support as soon as possible in order to keep their buy-in. It is not possible to unregister a player from a tourney if he won a satellite entry to it.

Rules

Tournaments will begin at scheduled times displayed in the “Tournament Lobby”. PokerKing reserves the right to cancel or delay a scheduled tournament without notice.

The details of every online Poker tournament including duration of levels and blind structures will be displayed prominently in the Tournament lobby. PokerKing reserves the right to change these details at any time without notice.

No-limit tournaments do not have a restriction on the number of raises allowed.

Each player is randomly assigned his or her seat. PokerKing does not allow players to change seats during a tournament. All tournaments will begin with the button being placed at seat one.

The prize payouts will be determined once all the rebuys, add-ons or re-entries have been completed and registration is closed. Prize pools may vary depending on the number of entrants and rebuys.

In order to register for any tournament or pay rebuys, add-ons or re-entries, the player must have the funds accessible in the account. Funds currently in play do not count as available.

Players can re-enter as many times as they like into a tournament (if the tournament has the Re-entry option available), so long as the tournament is still in Late Registration. Players will be able to re-enter for the same cost as the initial buy-in (with the exception of re-entry freerolls). The Re-Entry feature is available in all Freezeout Tournaments.

Registration – Players may unregister for an online Poker tournament and will receive a full refund prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament has begun players will not receive a refund on their buy-in. If the player cannot unregister himself he should contact the support team as soon as possible, at least 30 minutes before the start of the event. Tournament entries won in satellites may not be redeemed for cash and hold no cash value.

No player receives the button twice in a row. In circumstances in which players are eliminated in the blinds the button will continue to move in a clockwise direction. As all players have the opportunity to be spared a blind when this occurs, it’s an equal opportunity proposition for all players.

When playing heads up at the final table, the small blind will be in the position of the dealer.

Once a tournament has been entered players must assume the risk of internet issues and disconnection. PokerKing accepts no responsibility for lost money due to internet issues the player may have. Should a player become disconnected they will still receive cards, and pay blinds and antes. Players may voluntarily sit out during a tournament, but they will also continue to receive cards and pay the necessary blinds and antes.

No discussion of a hand or hand possibility is allowed while the hand is in play. Any of discussion of play will result in a penalty or automatic expulsion from the tournament and possibly PokerKing permanently.

Players caught in collusion (chip dumping, soft play, or unethical chat) will be banned from the tournament and their account (s) will be banned from playing at PokerKing. PokerKing reserves the right to withhold any funds in a cheats account to reimburse the players who have been cheated.

Players may not hand off the tournament to another player unless it is due to internet failure and is done while making arrangements to get back online.

In the unlikely event that PokerKing experiences a server crash, the hands and chip counts will be restored to what was dealt prior to the crash. Should the tournament need to be cancelled, players will receive funds based upon chip counts at the time of the crash.

The cash prize awarded in online Poker Bounty tournaments will be placed in the account of the player who eliminated the bounty at the end of the tournament. Players may not work together to eliminate a bounty player as this is considered collusion If a bounty is unable to show up to play the tournament, no bounty cash prize will be awarded for his or her elimination.

Tournament Bucks are a unique currency which may be used exclusively for tournaments accepting this currency as a Buy-in. Tournament Bucks may not be redeemed for cash and hold no cash value. Support may not enter players into tournaments as an exchange for Tournament Bucks.

In the event the software has a technical issue that is resolved in less than 30 minutes, the tournament is resumed normally.

If the software has a technical issue that lasts longer than 30 minutes, the tournament is cancelled.

All players in tournaments are obligated to post all blinds and/or antes. Not present players will be blinded/anted off.

A five (5) minute break will take place every hour in all scheduled tournaments, unless otherwise stated.

Players will be moved randomly to new seats once the tables become unbalanced (once players get eliminated from a tournament).

Players moved to a new table will be dealt in to the game as soon as possible.

In general, each player will post a small blind and a big blind every round. For moving players it is possible that any of the following may occur:

- Player may be positioned with the button for more than one hand.
- Player may be forced to post the big blind more than once per round.
- Player may skip one or both blinds in a round.

In community card games (Texas Hold'em and Omaha), players will draw for 'high card' to determine the starting position of the Dealer Button. If two players get the same high card, the suit preference of spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs will determine who starts with the button.

All tournaments other than time-based tournaments will continue until one player has won all of the chips. In rare exceptions (some qualifier tournaments), a tournament may stop with more than one player remaining.

Time-based tournaments end at a predetermined time. Payouts are determined by player chip counts. Fixed-length time-based tournaments will end after a specific period of time. Random-length tournaments have a maximum time and may end sooner than the max time. Random-length tournaments will never end with more than 10% of the maximum time remaining to play. All time-based tournaments will end after a complete hand has been played. No games will be stopped mid-hand.

In time based tournaments the top three players (based on chip counts) will split the prize pool according to our published payout structures. If a tie occurs, the players will split an appropriate prize. For example, if three players are left at the end of a tournament and two are tied for the chip lead they would split the combined first and second place prizes. The third player would receive the third place prize.

Similarly, if there were only two players left when the tournament ended, and there was no tie between the two remaining players, the remaining players would split the combined first and second place prize based on chip count and the player eliminated in third would receive the third place prize.

With the exception of re-buy tournaments, a player is eliminated when he loses all of his chips.

In Fixed limit tournaments (fixed betting/FL); there will be one bet and three raises in each betting round. When only two players remain, there is no limit on the number of raises. In pot-limit and no-limit tournaments, there are no limits on the number of raises.

If two players remain in the game, the player due to assume the big blind will do so and the player with the small blind will inherit the button. The small blind or button will act first prior to the flop and second after the flop.

If two (or more) players from the same table are eliminated on the same hand, the player who started the hand with the most chips will be awarded the higher finishing position.

If two (or more) players from different tables are eliminated on the same hand, the prize money will be equally divided among all the players who finished with the same rank. They will each be assigned the lowest rank.

Tournaments will, at pre-determined times, go into 'hand-for-hand' mode. This allows tables to play the exact same number of hands at critical times.

When a tournament is running hand-for-hand, then two or more players are eliminated on the same hand (from the same table or from different tables), the player who started the hand with the most chips will be awarded the higher finishing position.

Players are expected to follow established poker etiquette. Any players who abuse proper etiquette may be disqualified from the tournament.

Soft playing is not allowed in tournaments. Soft playing happens when a player does not bet his or her hand to its full potential with the expressed intent of helping another player advance further in the tournament.

Players who do not act on their hand in time ('time out') will be automatically folded.

PokerKing will review all unusual circumstances that may arise during tournament play. Should these circumstances arise, PokerKing will objectively review all factors before coming to a decision which best resolves any issues and to find the most just resolution for all parties involved.

Sit & Go Head's up Tables

Players may only sit at one empty heads-up table, per stake level, while waiting for a game to begin. For example, a player can sit one $2/$4 heads-up table, one $1/2 heads-up table, and one $0.50/$1 heads-up table, simultaneously. Any player found in violation to this rule will be subject to a 24-hour account ban. Repeat offenders will receive more severe punishments.

Cap Game

PokerKing is proud to offer CAP Games. CAP games limit the amount which each player can bet per hand regardless of the betting round. CAP games are available only to pot and no limit Hold’em ring games. If you're unfamiliar with CAP tables, they use a simple governor that places a limit on how much each player can wager over the course of a single hand. When this limit has been reached the player is considered to be all-in for the remainder of the hand. The CAP will always remain the same for each hand, and always the same for each player at the table.

Additional Information

  1. No Limit and Pot Limit games which are configured as CAP games will be displayed in the main lobby as "CAP (X) NL" for No Limit games and "CAP (X) PL" for Pot Limit games, where 'X' will be the configured CAP amount for the respective table with currency sign, if the table is real money.

  2. The CAP amount will be shown for CAP games with currency sign and the word "CAP" in the title of the table window. The new text will be positioned between the name of the table and the betting type.Example:Magnetite (JP) - 3 - No Limit - $0.25/$0.50 Hold'em, (BadBeat) Money in play: $0If CAP configuration is applied, the name of the table will be displayed as follows:Magnetite (JP) - 3 - CAP $60 No Limit - $0.25/$0.50 Hold'em, (BadBeat) Money in play: $0

  3. For No Limit games, the button "All-in" on the betting slider bar will be renamed to "CAP", if the player's money on the table exceeds the CAP amount.

  4. For Pot Limit games, the button "Pot" on the betting slider bar will be renamed to "CAP" in case the pot amount is more than the configured CAP amount for the table.

    a) If the amount of the pot is less than the specified CAP amount the following two options are available:
If the money of the player is equal or less than the pot, the text will show "All-In"
If the money of the player is higher than the pot, the text will show "Pot"

    b) If the pot amount exceeds the specified CAP amount, the following two options are available:
If the money of the player is less than the specified CAP amount, the text will show "All-In"

  6.  The new action will also be displayed in the chat window.
    Example:
    PlayerName caps (X)
Where X is the amount displayed with the currency sign, in case when the table is a real money one.

  7. The remaining cap amount will be visualized on the tables, labeled: "Cap: (X)", where X is the remaining amount with currency sign, if the table is real money. The location of the visualization will be at the bottom right corner. The image with CAP amount remaining will be shown when player is participating in the hand.If all-in or fold action is performed, the remaining cap amount will be hidden. When the CAP is reached, the information will stay and will display zero.

  8. The hand history will also indicate when a player used the new action in both Back Office Hand history and the poker client's Instant Hand History.

Rake Structure

PokerKing.com generates revenues for the services they provide to the poker players. Unlike with casino games the house does not have mathematical advantage on the game instead we charge a small fee from every winning pot to cover expenses for providing our customers with quality services. The fee is 5% of the pot with various caps depending on the game or table limit and blinds. The lowest rake cap starts with $0.04 cents and goes up to $3 on high end tables. The house uses this revenue to run the business and large portions of the revenues are channeled back to loyal PokerKing customers with our Royal club (loyalty program), guaranteed tournaments, freerolls, sponsorship of live events, King and Queen promotion and many other promotions that benefit PokerKing.com players.

Fixed Limit (FL)

At PokerKing.com we do not charge house service fees in Holdem games on blinds or before the flop.
Number of Players on the table refers to number of players that received cards (dealt-in players).
We listed the tables by “Blinds” rather than by table limit as most new players find it difficult to understand the difference.

Prohibited Software

Third Party Tools and Services

At PokerKing we are dedicated to providing and maintaining all possible measures and recourses, immediately to prevent and to eliminate any possibilities of anything that could diminish the integrity and entertainment that you receive while you are utilizing the site, or causes another player or user to gain any means of misappropriated advantage during your game-play against them.
To this resolve, we prohibit unauthorized alterations or tampering to the PokerKing game client that provides an unbalanced advantage to any player including but not limited to (the use of certain types of online poker-related programs or applications). This is to assure that each and every customer retains their protection and the integrity of our systems.

Can you explain unfair practices?

Unfair practices/Unauthorized practices include but not limited to:  the use of BOTs, AI, multiple account usage, one that counter acts the Terms of Service Agreement or is a collaboration with other players that may result in providing an unfair or unbalanced outcome and is perpetrated  by one or more players, with singular or multiple accounts that places any other player not participating in such deceptive activity at a unsportsmanlike position where the unethical activity is due to its success of being centered around a hidden or camouflaged agenda against other players. To no end if considered by a measured group of competent peers, to be an advancement of ones ability when given full account of the practice in question,  would overwhelmingly view this practice to be unfair.

Examples of practices deemed to be Unsportsmanlike (please note; these include but not limited to):

 1.  Multiple Accounts:

A player having multiple accounts, whether in one name or multiple names, for the sole purpose of utilizing more than one account at a time, no matter if it is the same table or not. As agreed under our Terms of Service this type of activity is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.

 2.  Collusion:

Multiple players using or pooling their combined knowledge to mislead other players at any table for the sole purpose of gaining an unfair advantage.

 3.  Manipulation of Rankings:

Players utilizing unethical means to misrepresent their rank at artificial levels by intentionally losing games at lower staked tables.

 4.  Misappropriation of Player Profiles:

Use or introduction of software designed for the sole purpose of searching, extracting and gathering of players profiles or the implementation of players databases in order to create or provide an unfair advantage towards any player within the PokerKing registration. The act with not be tolerated
Programs such as these are largely based the combined hand histories of players and are collected by the use of one or more of the following means: Screen-Scraping, Reading Dealer Chat, and last by not least by the illegal intrusion of an individual’s computer and extraction of a players hand history.

Deployment of "BOTS":

The usage of “Bots” that have been intentionally designed or purchased for the sole purpose of using artificial means to play games against actual players, to avoid detection and conceal said action from PokerKing or other active site users is strictly prohibited. The pre-mentioned software is sold by promising potential buyers an illegal advantage.

Do you discourage all online programs?

No we don’t. Our main goal is to promote and provide a competitive gaming venue that offers fair and equal playing field while also providing the highest possible level of user satisfaction to each and every one of our players
How do you distinguish between Forbidden and Permitted categories of programs? Isn't it true that many of these programs are for training, e.g. improving gaming skills?
The key issue here is advantage, it is the “Unfair” advantage that utilizes and promotes deception that we forbid. Individual programs that offer a skill based advantage are not what we are targeting. A certain amount of the programs that promote deceptive practices are also a means lead to data theft and/or an invasion of privacy.
Our stance to weigh the merit of particular software or programs is not based on the content or the advantage aspect but narrowing down on such program that create a clearly unfair scenario for those who are not using such means.

The key factor in defining the classes of programs that we feel are unacceptable for use weighs solely on the adherence to the compliance of our Customers privacy and any deceptive means to violate it.
For Example: If there is any possibility that a program or application could cause any degradation of our players confidence in the integrity of PokerKing , the service we provide or the fairness of the gaming platform the program will be eliminated.  Just to reiterate our point, we will not compromise our customers privacy nor allow any deceptive activity to occur..
As an alternative in this matter we have elected to eliminate the usage of unscrupulous programs that are advertised and promoted as giving an unfair advantage to a few rather than tolerate the concealment and unethical behavior of those wishing to do so. These programs use deceptive means that violate individual right to receive what they have contracted for and stand the risk of data theft not to mention the theft of legally protected material that falls under International Copyright Protection and Privacy laws as well.
With enough said if these companies did not provide the functionalities to create such a hostile or overt actions, they would not be judged so harshly may have been labeled differently.

What measures are you taken to prevent BOTS?

The steps that we have taken can be categorized in three unique ways: Simply by employing measures to detect and to identify; By actively addressing violators with warnings and suspensions; and additional measures through enlarged customer choice.
At the present time our safeguards for identification and detection purposes are in place and fully functioning. These steps once implemented have undergone continuous testing and improvements to heighten the precision of accuracy of BOT detection. These step are a vital part of our on-going improvement efforts that continues to maintain customer satisfaction
Presently there are numerous programs and websites that have been identified and permanently blocked by our system.
Upon identification any player using programs that are present on the forbidden list will be notified of this violation along with a detailed explanation of the course of actions to be forth coming unless unauthorized activity ceases to occur and to what extent of actions will be. In the event activities continue we will be prepared to both suspend and confiscate the affected account and funds in question without further notice.

Do the efforts include "data mining" or other means to access/read files on my computer as part of these efforts?

Yes it does. Of course, we want our service to be transparent as to the exact data that we are looking for together with an explanation of why it is of importance. Maybe the clearest and best known example of “Data-mining” is similar to the activities Google, Yahoo and AOL conducts to gather user specific data for commercial purposes (such as sales of user profiles for advertisement). For a better understanding of our process,  we utilize automated software that specifically detects and reports any processes and programs that are at the time operating, for identification and comparison purposes for prohibited software that may conflict with our policy. Our process neither scans your hard drive nor creates screen shots of and part of your computer. The data provided by this function is extremely limited to information pertaining to actions taking place while at our tables. This usage is explicitly used for prohibited software usage.
This harmless function is an extremely important means deployed as a counter-measure the unauthorized usage of BOTS and the abuses they cause. For further information concerning our general policy and our regard to data processing please visit our Terms of Service.

Unfair Practices and their Consequences:

We at our sole discretion determine whether an unfair practice has transpired (if an advantage has taken place or not) and whether one or all of those involve will be held responsible to serve one or all or the following consequences:

What is this all about?

As the popularity of playing poker online has gained momentum, developers or those with the ability introduced web services and tools to alter or enhance their online game-play. For the most part we are happy our players use some of these, but there a few that take these resources to the wrong extreme and abuse them.
Among the numerous ways of improving a players skills and make their games more enjoyable, such as online game tips, extended play time or every play money games. These techniques are clearly more above the board and practical then attempting to use tactics to unfairly gain the advantage. To carry it a bit further some of these unorthodox methods go as far as to promote collusion and sharing information which is illegally gotten. This is nothing less than cheating and it will not be tolerated.
Although the previous examples were at opposite ends of the spectrum there are many tools and shortcuts in the middle that we feel are means to cheat other players. As example: considering the sizes of the data bases that we have in service and given one player offers access to these or even duplicates information that is maintained there. This is giving an unfair advantage to a player that has never challenged these players at a table.
No matter what is done there will be someone with more insight that will want to interpret the meaning behind what is appropriate or where the fine line lays between using intelligent shortcuts and cheating. We hereby make it clear that our stance is developed from what we consider a fair compromise between a fair advantage and the prohibited advantages.

How did this start?

Our actions are largely based on the amount of e-mails from players we have received concerning this topic. There are many that actually asked to get clarity on the subject but there are some that check to see if we are looking for them for whatever reason. So in order address the issue directly we have established a policy to clearly draw the proverbial boundaries of what is acceptable and what is not acceptable as far as these programs and methods. These practices have been thoroughly discussed with experts both from the industry and outside of the industry.

What kind of tools and services are acceptable?

After discussion we have concluded that the following are the types of tools and programs are acceptable:The following types of tools and services are generally acceptable:
  1. Tools, Charts, and services that provide odds and recommendations for starting hands
  2. Tools and services that profile your opponent through your actual game-play.
  3. Macros and programs that do not have bearing on game-play logic. And these cannot be able to create auto folders nor automated actions.
  4. Analytical tools to analyze your game without any direct actions.
 Is this an issue?

Think about this situation: at one table there are five other players and yourself sharing a data base program, each player is able to see the others hand (except you). Is this a fair table? Would you continue at that table? What are examples of tools and services that are acceptable?

What if I op-out on tracking services offered?

With the majority of the tools mentioned above, the option of denying to be tracked or displayed to other users of that tool is provided. Although we may advise you, the individual software maker utilizes their own opt-out procedure. Your best option is to verify these procedures with the individual companies themselves.

There are two lists of prohibited tools mentioned? Why is that?

On the first listing, these are prohibited at all times and should not be loaded or installed on your computer that hosts the PokerKing Client. Be aware that PokerKing actively scans and detects these tools and if found will take punitive measures towards the player(s) who uses them.

The second listings are those services that are prohibited from use in conjunction with the PokerKing Client at any time. Although we do acknowledge the fact that those listed do have legitimate purposes for analytical use for statistics or results, but it is of our opinion that they in fact step over the acceptable line for use during active game-play. Again these programs are being scanned for detection actively and if found in use warning will be issued. PokerKing offers to work with the developers of such tools to assist them in compliance with the policies we have set forth.

There's a tool / service I like, but it's not on these lists. What do I do?

Please send an email to [email protected] with all the detailed information about any tool or service in question and our team will be more than happy to assist with compliance or permission. Please be sure to include the URL and all possible information you have to assure a fast and thorough reply.

Are all of the programs on the permitted list safe to use?

At PokerKing, we neither endorse nor support any program that may or may not be listed on the permitted list, nor can we offer any advice or guarantees on the operational functionality of any software or application outside of the original PokerKing Client.

Are the above lists subject to change?

Yes. During the continuous process of enhancing the game-play for our players PokerKing continues to investigate and evaluate tools and services that are newly introduced. Our enhancement practice also includes periodic evaluation of all software that is listed within our policies or listed as prohibited. These lists are subject to change without notice due to the re-examination that has been conducted. PokerKing assumes no liability to provide personal notification in the event of a software or application’s reclassification. This process is solely the responsibility of the players to verify the current status of the permitted and non-permitted listings

May I use permitted tools to record information about players from hands that I am not playing?

No, the only histories that you may collect are those in which you are an active participant.

What steps are taken to prevent players from using prohibited tools and services?

As previously mentioned PokerKing is continuously using detection tools and methods to scan for players or observer using these methods. In the event that the detection is made that player(s) will be alerted and requested to cease. Once compliance is made things return to normal, if not we will immediately deactivate the PokerKing client on their computer.

Are you going to look for anything else on players' computers?

Most certainly not, our sole purpose is to provide safe and entertaining service for each of our services. Negative or unwarranted services provide a bad and distorted vision toward PokerKing and thereby jeopardize our integrity

Can PokerKing see my browsing history, documents, or other private information on my computer?

No, PokerKing considers our players privacy highly confidential and always maintains the laws in regards to the Data Protection Laws regardless of location. We do neither gather nor amass any identifiable personal information with the exemption of the data that is provided to us by the player for purposes of registration and verification. It is not feasible that a PokerKing staff member would extract or read private data from your computer. For further information please refer to our Terms of Service.

Some prohibited programs listed are web sites, especially those dealing with data mining. What steps do you take to stop their use?

We believe that the action taken against services such as these must be eliminated at the onset. This belief has led us to the continual improvements that are being made to eradicate the use of Data mining software. In addition PokerKing reserves the legal right to proceed with judicial action against those who cause a malicious breach and violate our set Terms of Service.

Can PokerKing make changes to my files?

PokerKing reserves the right at our sole discretion to deactivate the PokerKing Client on any of our customer’s computer or require upgrades to the client program. With that being said, it is not possible for a PokerKing staff member to change, modify, send or extract any file remotely that may be located on a players computer.

How do you confiscate the account funds of somebody running tools or services?

Although PokerKing does reserve the right, an action such as this is not conducted without taking the ramifications in consideration. This is a decision that does not happen lightly. We believe that knowledge is the first step, so we try to educate the players on these consequences before acting hastily. In the event that a consistent pattern of using these tools has formed or a player attempts to bypass our detection methods, these funds will be confiscated.

Disconnection Policy

DISCONNECTION PROTECTION

Disconnection protection is a tool which protects our players if their Internet connection is lost while they are involved in game.
  1. If a player becomes disconnected from our server in the middle of a Poker hand, we will protect their bet and considering them All-In for the amount of money they currently have in the pot. This protects the player's money in the current hand while allowing other players to continue betting.
  2. Disconnection protection is not to be used for any other purpose than a genuine disconnection. Misuse of this policy may result in the loss of the disconnection protection privilege, tournament disqualification or expulsion from the website.
  3. Our software is designed to detect if a player is experiencing a genuine disconnection before employing the disconnection protection. Players who try to take advantage of disconnection protection by deliberately allowing themselves to be 'timed out' will be considered to have folded.
  4. All players must accept the risk of disconnection. Disconnections can and do occur. In the event of a disconnection, it is necessary to log back on and continue playing as quickly as possible. PokerKing.com does not accept responsibility for any disconnection on the part of a player.
  5. If a player is disconnected during a hand and disconnection protection is available, they will be able to play for the part of the pot to which they have contributed. This means that the player can only win whatever amount was in the pot at the time of the disconnection.
  6. PokerKing.com reserves the right to change its policy and make final decisions on all matters relating to disconnection at its own discretion. PokerKing.com shall publish information regarding any policy changes and relevant decisions on its website.

REAL MONEY GAME DISCONNECTION PROTECTION

We currently offer disconnection protection on the Fixed Limit tables only.

Disconnection protection resets are allowed for a maximum of three times in a seven-day period of live game play. Before accepting the player's reset request, PokerKing.com will check whether the player has used up their quota of resets. We will not reset the protection if the player has used their quota.

All players are limited to eight disconnection protections (three resets) within a seven-day period of live game play.

SIT AND GO MULTI-TABLE TOURNAMENT GAME DISCONNECTION PROTECTION

Disconnection protection is not available in any Sit & Go, Single-Table or Multi-Table tournament.

RING GAMES

Disconnects

If you are disconnected, therefore, unable to play your hand while having chips invested in the pot in a ring game, you may be given extra time to reconnect. The exact amount of extra time given depends on the type of game and the size of the pot at the time of your disconnection.

However, if you do not reconnect during this time, your hand will be folded. This will happen regardless of your investment in the pot or the strength of your hand. PokerKing will not accept any responsibility for losses caused by disconnections.

Server Issues

All transactions, including pots won and lost, are credited to your PokerKing account at the completion of each hand. In the event of an incompletely or incorrectly recorded hand (for whatever reason), the accounts of all player’s taking part in that hand will be restored to their status at the beginning of the hand in question. In this event, the hand will be declared a ‘misdeal’, with all associated blinds, antes and bets returned to the players.
